Start with what does not change. The EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus, the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Classic (1024Wh) and the plain DELTA 3 carry the same nominal battery, output and surge figure in our record; a sliver of weight is all that separates the Classic from the Plus. The money between them buys no capacity.
It buys inputs and paperwork. The Plus takes roughly twice the solar the Classic will accept, and the Classic's ceiling is hard: reviewers report a bigger array's extra wattage is ignored. The Plus has an extra-battery port and a maker-documented expansion path; whether the Classic takes the same accessory is a research gap, not a confirmed no. Living with it
Sat between the wall and the fridge it passes grid power through and picks the load up when the grid drops, a handover EcoFlow rates at a few hundredths of a second and a bench tester clocked a shade quicker. Pass-through engages by itself, and an app setting makes it run appliances off its own battery instead. It refills fast enough for a top-up between rolling outages, though that same test found it pulls more from the wall than the battery holds.
The AC outlets switch off after an idle stretch rather than at a low-wattage threshold, so set that timeout to never in the app or it will cut the fridge off during a quiet spell. It will not charge below freezing or in real heat. The app works over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and this is the only model here that also talks to EcoFlow's desktop software. Will any of these actually keep my fridge running for a full outage?
“Clears the best case only” is the honest label on all three. Each covers the best case for this plan, an efficient fridge, a cool room, the door kept shut, and none of them clears the worst case on a single charge. If your fridge runs harder than that, plan on a recharge, solar input or a bigger unit regardless of which DELTA 3 you buy. For units that clear the worst case outright, our home-backup page lists every one we track.
What about the DELTA 3 Max and DELTA 3 Max Plus, are they better than the Plus?
We cannot say yet. Both are maker-page-only in our record, and core figures, solar input for both and weight for the Max Plus, are gaps we have not captured rather than confirmed zeros. Until we read those two pages to the same depth as the Plus, the Classic and the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Ultra Plus (3072Wh), we will not rank them on this page.
